We can increase the size all the way up to a full 17-piece big band and down to our standard size of 4. Unless specifically specified, we will give a quote for the quartet. Question: "I am looking for a ballpark quote for my event. Just get me close so I can get a feel for it." Answer: We realize that many of the people wishing to hire live entertainment for their event are on a budget. For your standard wedding or event that is 2 hours or so, we will charge around $700 plus travel expenses if the event is over 20 miles from our location. We feel that this is a fair and affordable price for both the professional musicians and clients. Please realize that this is only an estimate and there are a number of factors that come in to play such as location, hours, number of guests ect... Question: "Can we request songs?" Answer: Yes. The DKQ will do their best to accommodate requests both at the event and prior to the event. Question: "Do you or can you have a vocalist?" Answer: While it is possible for the DKQ to take on a vocalist, instrumental jazz is what we do best. I would recommend taking a look at some of the other great groups you can find through gigs4all.com who specialize in vocal jazz if you have your heart set on it. Question: "I was thinking of having 2 groups play at my wedding. Your jazz combo group for the dinner hour and a DJ for dancing. Is this ok?" Answer: Yes! Question: "How long will it take for me to get a quote once I submit my information to you?" Answer: You will usually get your quote within 6 hours of when the information was submitted.
