Discomatic is a high-octane 70s Tribute Band that plays all the hits from the disco era. We are a group of professional musicians based in Southern California that have been playing disco music since the late 1990s in another popular disco band - and have recently regrouped to form Discomatic. Of course, we wear 70s outfits on and offstage. We do NOT use pre-recorded backing tracks like a lot of bands do, which allows us to tailor the sets and songs to your event. If people are enjoying a certain song and are all dancing, for example, we can extend the song without being limited to recorded tracks. We ARE a real band - not a bunch of "hired guns." We BOOK our own gigs, which saves you money - no agent or middle man trying to get their cut. We also encourage your participation in the show. If you know one of the songs and want to come up and sing, let us know. We keep lyric sheets handy in case you don't happen to know them. We also teach "The Hustle" dance moves before playing the song, so even if you think you can't dance, you can learn The Hustle in a jiffy and then tear up the dance floor. We will go the extra mile for you. If you dont see a song on our list that you want to hear, let us know and we'll learn it!

We are a group of professional and experienced musicians. We know that a lot of planning goes into your event and we'll help you make it a special day - one that they'll be talking about for years to come!
Pricing varies per event due to travel expenses, location, length of event, and production costs such as additional sound and lighting equipment that may be required. We provide our own sound system that is capable of handling most situations from a back yard or house party to a hotel banquet room. However, a large ballroom may require additional sound and lighting equipment. We work with several sound companies and are able to obtain their services when required for larger venues. If you're working within a specific budget or are getting several different bids, we will work with you and do our best because the bottom line is WE WANT THE GIG and we're confident that once you give us a try, you'll be calling us again. We have many repeat clients.
