LIGHTNING HAND is one of Northern California's premier acts. We play Classic/Rock(60's/70's,some 80's/90's), Blues, and Traditional and Alternative Country(Americana). Fans of Eric Clapton, Grateful Dead, Rolling Stones, Allman Brothers, The Band, Lynyrd Skynrd, Eagles, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Tom Petty, Black Crowes, etc. will appreciate the music. We generally play a full night of covers and originals that is designed to keep people dancing through the night.-------With 100+ years of experience between us, we average about 5-6 gigs per month in Northern California. With 4 singers in the band, we have a lot of vocal harmonies and are thought of as a musically diverse band. LIGHTNING HAND is proud that we are not just a "Blues" band or just a "Country" band. We do it all with our own sound. True music lovers will appreciate the diversity. We have opened/plyed before ZZ Top, Journey, David Gans, The Parrotheads and Mumbo Gumbo, and have played at Konocti Harbor, ARCO Arena for the Sacramento Kings, Harvey's in Lake Tahoe and Laguna Del Sol. The band has hit evry hotspot in Sacramento as well as many festivals in Northern California.---------Our debut album, "Almost To Nowhere" was recorded at Audio West Studios in Sacramento by Grammy winning engineer Ed Etzel. The band has had 2 songs played on National Public Radio and many other local radio stations as well.------We are currently ranked the #1 band in the Sacramento area on Gigmasters.com earning us a five-star rating, where we have done most of our booking for the past few years.
