Pairadeux (Elizabeth & Neil) is a female/male acoustic rock duo. We perform cover songs from the 70's, 80's and 90's to today. As an acoustic duo, we are very adaptable; we can adjust our volume and demeanor appropriately for any venue. However, don't let the term 'acoustic duo' fool you; we can fill a dance floor as well as be the background entertainment at a networking event.
Our extensive and diverse set list ranges from the Beatles to Coldplay, Janis Joplin, Natalie Merchant, Sheryl Crow, David Gray, Counting Crows, Fleetwood Mac, Incubus, James Taylor and many, many more.
Pairadeux plays 80-100 shows per year. We are very audience-interactive, often involving everyone with singalongs, trivia and animated conversation.
Elizabeth's fearless, sensual stage persona is rivaled only by the power in her voice. She can jam like Joplin and rail like Raitt. She uses a wireless mic that allows her to freely roam into the audience, which she does well & often. Elizabeth also plays guitar and djimbe, a standing African drum.
Neil also sings, and specializes in playing guitar with drive and confidence. His virtuoso guitar work often sounds like more than one musician, with an arsenal of guitar effects at his disposal.
All music is performed live; no canned or prerecorded backing tracks are used, though you might hear an occasional 'sample'.
While we specialize in rock material, we are happy to take requests in that genre and others. These requests are best made prior to the performance.
