Whether it’s Indian, Gospel, Afro-Cuban, Brazilian, R&B, Hip-Hop, Funk music (to name a few), Delton can lay groove over any style. Born in Jackson, TN but currently residing in Long Beach, CA, Delton is a sought after percussionist performing and touring with various artist and bands. In 1999 and 2000 Delton toured the nation with the Top 10 World Class Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corp. and performed in the Sphinx Symphony Orchestra to following 2 years that accompanied Branford Marsalis and Take 6. In 2002 Delton studied percussion in Rio de Janerio and Salvador Brazil with the World Percussion Group out of CSULB to later play percussion with the Vivir Brasil Dance Company. This past year Delton performed to a sold out theatre with Spanish guitarist Emilio Castillo at the Bar Clay Theatre. Delton also performed in the 2005 LA Music Awards with up and coming Popera artist Krassimir and recorded a cd soon to be released with artist Angelique Roberts, and recorded on a jazz cd later to be released and performed for The Boys’ and Girls’ Aid Society of LA at Five Acres. Either performing in LA’s premier Percussion Group Igaba or the Delton Davis Trio or in the studio or in a Kirtan with Sequoia Neptune or on the road with World Renowned Yoga Chanter “Wah!”, Delton can also be found performing at Downtown Disney or giving percussion presentations in the school systems.
