Ransom is an entertaining, live music show featuring hits from the 1950's through today in classic rock, blues, oldies, dance and country music, and has been performing together in and around St Louis for over twelve years.
The band consists of four dynamic performers featuring front person Vicky Michaels on vocals and percussion, Larry Charles on guitar amd synthasizer, Mark Necomb on drums and vocals, and Billy Mues on bass.
Vicky was born in a small town just north of Jackson, Tennessee. Surrounded by a family of musicians, she knew where she was headed in life at an early age. Her mother, Barbara Alan, was part of the St Louis music scene in the 1970's and opened for Charlie Pride with Nick Nixon, a well-known local country western act. When Vicky moved to California in 1980, she joined her first band. From there she moved to Chicago where she and the band Gimmik competed in Chicago's Park District Battle of the Bands, and won first place out of 500 contestants. Her high energy performance has lead her to be opening acts for the famous Chuck Berry and Confederate Railroad. Vicky's performance and her beautiful, sultry voice is sure to entertain anyone.
More about the rest of the band is coming soon.
