Swing Machine specializes in the tradition of the 30's and 40's era swing bands in the style of performers such as Glenn Miller, Stan Kenton, and Count Basie. Our vast repertoire of over 2000 songs spans 9 decades to include music from a variety of other genres, which will be tailored to the customer's needs. . . . . . Members of Swing Machine are former members of the Airmen of Note, the Army Blues, the Navy Commodores, and other respected musicians. You will not find a more accomplished and professional group of musicians in the DC area! Band members have performed with well-know artists such as the great Frank Sinatra, Jr., Diana Ross, Mel Torme, the Temptations, Ray Charles, Johnny Mathis, Chuck Mangione, Henry Mancini, Dizzy Gillespie, Charlie Byrd, Tony Bennett, Sammy Davis Jr., Modern English, Ben Vereen, Frankie Avalon, The Platters, Maureen McGovern, 5th Dimension, Blues Traveler, Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Barry Manilow, Al Jeareau, Harry Connick, Jr., Gladys Knight, the Temptations, Four Tops and the O-Jays, Santana, and more! . . . . . . Our Master of Ceremonies Geoff Peterson has over 25 years of entertainment experience, and will keep your event running like a well-oiled "Machine"! . . . . . Nita served 20 years as a vocalist with the USAF Airmen of Note! She also has 3 CDs to her credit, one of which was nominated for a GRAMMY AWARD for Best Female Jazz Vocalist of the Year! . . . . . . We have also added Jeff Johnson as our drummer. Jeff just finished touring with the Glenn Miller Band, and he sure know how to drive a Big Band! . . . . . .
