The Tempos were formed in 1959 by James Simmons. Ther were four original members, Bill Hagan, Johnny Robbins,James Grammer and James. In 1962, the group added Charles Watts as a lead singer. In 1963, James Simmons was fired from the group due to marriage. He was reunited with the group when
they recorded four songs at FAME Recording in Muscles Shoals,Alabama. SMASH records wanted two of the recordings but Charles would not signed the copyright releases. The
group broke up in 1964. In 1991, James Simmons along with partner Wayne Brown opened a recording studio. James reunited with Bill Hagan to reform the TEMPOS. Johnny and James Grammer have passed away. Bill retired in 2007. James
added Dale Rushing, Patsy Griffin and Mitchell Fowler. The

Our rates range from $250-$1500.00 It depends on the venue, how far we have to travel, how long a performance is wanted,
and what is furnished. (meals, & rooms) We will perform as
long as four hours. We perform 45 minutes with a 15 minute
break. We have over 375 tracks available so that the customer can request songs if needed.
